Pathophysiology of Sinusitis According to Ayurveda:

Excess intake of causative factors (nidanasevana) leads to the formation of toxins. Thus, the Vata dosha circulates this toxin (ama) all over the body and gets localized in Shira (head) or Nasa (nose) area. This obstructs the channel and further vitiates the Kapha dosha which leads to Nasa roga or Shiro roga.

Panchakarma and Ayurvedic Treatment of Sinusitis:

Ayurvedic treatment mainly involves internal medications, external therapies, detoxification of the body (panchakarma), modifications of diet, and lifestyle activities. In the Panchakarma treatment, Nasya therapy is recommended as the best choice for the Ayurvedic treatment of sinusitis.
