Botanical Description of Haridra (Curcuma Longa):
Habit: Habitat of Haridra is perennial, aromatic, and rhizomatous. It has tall herbs, ovoid with sessile cylindric tubers, and has orange-colored inside.
Leaves: Leaves of the haridra are large and redial, measuring about 1.2m or more long as the blade. It has oblong-lanceolate, base tapering, ligulate, prominent, midrib.
Inflorescences: Spike, 0-15 cm.
Flowers: Flowers of Haridra are measures about 15cm or more and have hermaphrodite, zygomorphic, epigynous peduncle crowned by coma tinged with pink enlarged bracts.
