Shankh Vati – Ayurvedic Classical Medicine:
Shankh vati neutralizes aggravated pitta hence it is highly recommended in hyper acidity associated with flatulance, indigestion, bloating, colic pain, etc.
Composition of Shankh Vati:
Each tablet of 300 mg. contains Kajjali (Black sulfide of mercury), Shudh Vatsanabha (Purified aconitum ferox)-14.20 mg. (each of the above ingredients), Marich (Piper nigrum), Shankh bhasma (Calcined Conch shell)-28.40 mg., (each of the above ingredients), Shunthi (Zingiber Officinalis), Sajjikshar (Sajjikshar), Shudh hing (Ferula foedita), Pippali (Piper longum), Saindhav lavan (Rock salt), Saurvarchal lavan (Black Salt), Vidd lavan (Rock salt) Samudra lavan (Seasalt), Navsadara (ammonium chloride)-23.70 mg. (each of the above ingredients) Bhavanarth dravya: Fresh lemon juice ”Q.S. (for mardana).
Indications of Shankh Vati:
Useful in the digestion disorders like hyper-acidity, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, anorexia, dyspepsia, impaired digestion, loss of appetite, diarrhea, dysentery & flatulence, etc.
Dosage:
1 to 2 tablets to be taken twice in a day with lukewarm water, lemon juice or as directed by the physician.
